Polymer Crystals Home Depot

How we spent our first Christmas in New Zealand

To tune into our Christmas, we thought that there is no harm, some nicely decorated homes to view. So we have the "Light up Nelson 2010" downloaded map and scoured some of the addresses. We were not the only ones in front of some houses, there were literally jam and we have spoken to many proud owners. All in all, everything more American than European. After all, Mark has had nostalgic memories of snow at the Aufblasweihnachtsschneekugel.

And after the house was really going on ...
Our first Christmas holiday in New Zealand we have spent in Anakiwa. The main ingredients were sun, boats, sea, and then at home too much to eat and a good deal of wine.

On 23, our last working day in the evening we went to Anakiwa in the boot of food for a whole horde. The 24th unfortunately began with violent storms and rain. We have taken the opportunity to finally have the aviation museum near Blenheim, with the largest collection of the Red Baron. The man now thought not really important in New Zealand. As we left the museum, the sun was shining and we have the rest of the day swimming, relaxing and preparing spent and Shayne was grateful for all that appeared, he wanted to strictly implement even a tin hut. In the evening we had a barbecue and we sat together with guests and other friends of Shayne and Tanya. Christmas was not a topic that finds everything until 25 instead. On two grills was sizzling all they were worth, much of already the next day.
Bet grilling

the morning of the 25th heard from a distance, a loud Ho ho ho, music, and a boat horn. Everyone was very excited because Santa has announced to to throw lollies at the bridge and to be proud of.

Returning prisoners with the lollies we ate breakfast at the end and made our mess out there in the sun under the Christmas tree.
In the hostel, meanwhile, gathered more and more people, and the fleet at anchor was raised 3 vessels. Unfortunately, the capacity has not yet served to bring all the people all the food and drink, blankets, umbrellas and so at once.
Typical Christmas look :-)

ado was therefore a closer ones selected bay and a boat could go back again. Shayne's boat to a so-called Seabiscuit hung loaded with action-seekers. Once it was a fun round.
Action

Picnic
After dinner (which, of course, a lot was left) was floated, chatter and indulged the tradition of Christmas crackers! A pop-candy filled with a paper crown, a joke and a plastic toy. The toys and no one really needs brought us again a fingernail, this time in red, made of plastic and for plugging.
Christmas cracker

the afternoon, and especially before the low tide we went back, as two of the boats had to return to the trailer, which is only at high tide. Not as bad as it was then time to rest, Staying in the shade and to enable the stomach to rest. Quite as the rest of the stomach was then but not because we were invited for coffee in the adjacent hostel. The owners at that time we learned to know and they were having a picnic on the beach here, had their Tiramisu (pudding), but left at home in the refrigerator. Pudding is in NZ for any dessert ... So you never know exactly what you get.

The evening ended happily wet with a wine tasting that took us to the sun really given the rest. Especially for us really great because there were only wines from Nelson and we found it a great Riesling. Anschließendwurden the remains eaten and drunk all the bottles. An Australian backpacker, actually 25 from Queen Charlotte Track was allowed to integrate as well.
19:00 clock, still bright

On the way home to Nelson, we wanted to insert two stops. An old to a gold mine had to give up this stop, however, due to impassable ford. The second of a beautiful river valley, approximately one half of the trail. There are some shorter and longer walks, and very cold but inviting swimming facilities. We have decided to leave it at a rest stop, after we have just made it this purely down to the knees. On the stones on the bank was allowed to burn for the soles.
rest at the river

Overall we had a wonderful Christmas. Quite different from home and very unusual, but we enjoyed it and it was a good experience.

The New Zealand Christmas tree is very typical way Pohutukawa blooms and very red around at Christmas. In the sun, the flowers emit correct and you do not need more decoration.

Cambodia: Strikes in the textile industry

workers demand a living wage

appear in the Asian textile industry, for some time again to compact flaring strikes a continental campaign cycle of the textile workers, confirm that a few years ago by Beverly Silver in their study Forces of Labor established motto: "Where capital goes, conflict goes."

fueled the militancy of workers across borders to let the Strategy of Western textile companies, in countries such as Bangladesh, Vietnam and Cambodia produce on a wage level that is given there also rising food prices below the reproduction of material existence necessities. Then there are the effects of global crisis that has hit the textile industry hard, leading to job insecurity and in many cases, wage cuts due to the elimination of overtime.

are about 2009 the Cambodian textile exports to Europe and the United States fell by 23%, to close has 90 garment factories and temporary dismissal of 60,000 workers. The increase in exports in the first three quarters of 2010 by 7% could not offset these losses.

overexploitation

After out in the summer, the textile workers in Bangladesh a desperate struggle for a living minimum wage (see SoZ 10/2010), occurred in September in Cambodia to a very similar strike, but much larger scale.

In July the government announced to raise the minimum wage in the textile industry the equivalent of 50 to 61 U.S. dollars. The insignificance of the long expected decision caused widespread anger in the unions, they had requested an increase to at least $ 93. Their demand is well in line with the government official figures: Just had some last year, a study of Cambodian detected Development Institute, at the present Lonniveau in the textile industry is in the survival of the workers are protected only by excessive overtime, and a minimum wage equivalent to 90 U.S. dollars proposed. Particular urgency of the proposal received by the fact that the crisis this vitally necessary overtime largely disappeared since 2009.

began on September 13, the Strike action, that they involve the first 68 000 workers. Within three days the strike had spread, however, on more than 90 large textile factories and more than 200,000 striking workers - a total of 358 000 oilpainting in the Cambodian textile industry. The textile unions had called CCAWDU NIFTUC and belonging to different trade union confederations and with 45,000 or 30,000 members, a relatively large organization might have - at least as measured by the notoriously anti-union Poliks the strict, market liberalization, post-Stalinist government.

Unyielding

Trade union activities opposed by the government and its affiliated groups for years with great severity and non-transparent methods. Thus, around 2004, the Chairman of the Trades Union Congress Free Trade Union of Workers of the Kingdom of Cambodia (FTUWKC) shot on the street, the investigation of the murder, including the conviction of two persons allegedly involved was held under such dubious circumstances that organizations such as Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International come from a sham procedure, which should cover the really responsible.

awarded with 80,000 signatures of striking workers, the two unions of their demand for inclusion of wage negotiation. For the September 27, the government invited the unions actually for an interview, but also put away the intimidation and violent control of the strike movement. From mid-September more than 300 active and 3,300 striking union workers were dismissed because of the dispute, were arrested 261 of them. The period set by the government pay negotiations were broken off, the unions threatened further action if the dismissals would not be returned.

By mid-October for the first part of the dismissals had been withdrawn - and this is mainly due to judicial decisions. Over 100 shop steward was a report in the Phnom Penh Post, 13.10. According to still be locked out and with them nearly 700 workers who were laid off after protests against the dismissal.

Bad image

, meanwhile, has disturbed the peaceful but massive strike some corporate CEO's serious. In a joint open letter to the Cambodian Business Association GMAC expressed the clothing companies Adidas, Gap, H & M and Levi's and The Walt Disney Company, which can be finished by Cambodian companies for their range, their concern at the escalation of labor unrest, and called employers and unions to a "long-term Solution "and" regular working relationship "to - just as they had to do with the practice in Cambodia forms of the exploitation nothing. GMAC-General Ken Loo did not want to comment on the letter, but categorically rejected claims back to a further increase in the minimum wage. He also expressed willingness to negotiate on possible bonus payments and food stamps for the workers.

Given the unyielding attitude of the entrepreneur and the imperative need for the workers to fight for a wage that is sufficient for life, seem further clashes inevitable. In such a Direction also has an explanation of the union CCAWDU the beginning of November in view of the still not re-employed trade unionists and the attempts by the relevant ministry to sit out the conflict which threatened a new strike.

CCAWDU-General Ek Sopheakdey expected in early December with new work stoppages if the demands were to reinstate the workers and raising the minimum wage is not met by then. He also announced to organize rallies in this case, and blockades in front of clothing stores.

Since we are again!

Yes, we know! Lange nix written and now even such a long gap ... What We of course very angry is that the Skifahrbericht now fits into even the German time. Ok, here's what else will (eventually) and the rough chronology:

- Report on the Queen Charlotte Track - end of July
- our time as a hostel Sitter in Anakiwa - August
- our experiences in the Golden Bay - September
- Hanmer Springs, Christchurch after the quake and Akaroa - September
- Search jobs in Wellington - October, November
- New Life in Nelson - the end of November to today

Before we come to the most important, Christmas, the birth of Christ and of the greatest promotional coup ever, the Coca-Cola red Santa Claus Niko, the second most important:

We now live in Nelson, have both found a job here and we rented a small house with palm trees in the garden and a wood stove and will remain for a long time here. Christine works at a small company and takes care of organizing visits abroad for German students in Nelson and has a permanent position. It was clear where we draw. Mark is first a 2 month contract, also in Nelson, and many ideas how to go after it (working in Nelson, commuting to Wellington, studying at NMIT or what appears otherwise). That he also, and as soon as found in Nelson, is remarkable for the time being, despite a short term contract, as Nelson quite small. With 70,000 inhabitants, but again quite good for New Zealand, so there is also plenty of entertainment, bars, clubs and great cafes. Even a 3-D cinema. We have set up on Trademe, the local Ebay, flea markets, and the donation of one or the other neighbors and colleagues. We even have a front loader washing machine, which provides among Kiwis for real head-shaking. On application for permanent residence, we also work and this topic will deal sure one time or another.

So, now is summer here in New Zealand and the Nelson's competition with other cities in New Zealand sun is in full swing. Nelson is currently slightly ahead of Whakatane and Blenheim is the eternal rival this year mounted significantly. We expect around 2500 - 2600 hours of sunshine for Nelson this year, the best cities in California have as 3000 :-)
So everything way too hot to get into real Christmas spirit. As the Christmas parade was just right and with 15,000 others, we have inveigled this year's parade. The whole parade lasted about 1 hour, 60 groups under the direction of Zugmarschalls Huup scales, cool name, right? Nevertheless, all in all for NEN Mainzer not particularly impressive. Above all, the very low noise levels, or at least no Helau constantly "Merry Christmas" roar and a total of far too little music. But warm, very warm! The parade ended in Founders Park, a museum, to which we shall come later, and adopted the festival character.

The dynamics of the debt crisis

over Ireland, the so-called parachute is stretched, Portugal could be the next candidate. With the crisis of the euro and the austerity measures of the threatened bankruptcy of the state governments also created the biggest wave of strikes in recent decades in Europe.

Lutz Getzschmann

Published in: Jungle World, 2 December 2010

EU finance ministers agreed late on Sunday evening at their special meeting in Brussels that Ireland 50 billion euros for the rehabilitation of should receive budget and 35 billion euros to support the banking system. The Irish government is on the bailout 17.5 billion EUR contribute from their own resources. These are the reserves are used for pensions. The interest on the loans will be 6 to 6.5 percent, significantly higher than in the case of Greece (5.2 percent). Irish government bonds have risen to just under 9.3 percent interest. And by the Irish government from bankruptcy banks kept tumbling facing an uncertain future. The rating agency Standard & Poor's downgraded on Friday, the Anglo Irish Bank on the junk-bond level B down. A similar fate befell the Bank of Ireland and Allied Irish Bank, which were downgraded to BBB + or BBB notes.

The bank failures and recession the Irish people have been hit hard. The times of Ireland's boom is over. »60 000 people have left, between April 2009 and April 2010 in Ireland, a third of them are Irishmen, two thirds of" non-Irishman, Thomas Conefrey says of Economic and Social Research Institute in Dublin. Unemployment, which is five percent in 2007 to more than 13 percent have increased this year, have made many Irishmen before the election, with no prospect of a job stay in the country or to leave. In the construction sector alone 150 000 people were unemployed. 90 000 houses that were built in 2007 alone, there are now 33 000 empty. On Saturday demonstrated, according to the organizers 150 000 people in Dublin against measures to put public finances, according to police there were about 50 000 This was called the trade union confederation ICTU. The VAT is expected to increase from 21 to 23 percent, the minimum wage to fall to 7.65 € a €. Nearly 25 000 jobs in the public sector are eliminated each year to study fee of 2000 € will be charged. For the first time to the Irishmen pay for drinking water. The chairman of the largest trade union SIPTU, Jack O'Connor, described the savings plans as a "declaration of war" to the lowest paid workers. At the same time the government coalition of Fianna Fail and the Greens in Parliament is becoming increasingly unstable after Fianna Fail has lost a by-election for a vacant seat to become the opposition Sinn Fein. The government has thus only a slim majority of two seats in Parliament. Prime Minister Brian Cowen announced to dissolve parliament and pave the way for early elections in February or March. However, he was only willing to elections, if the planned spending cuts and tax increases are passed by Parliament. Unions and the Irish opposition, however, demand that the elections are to take place before the implementation of austerity.

In Portugal, there was vehement protests against the austerity policies of the government. The one-day general strike on 24 November was the largest in decades, and the first strike for over 20 years, at which the two largest trade union confederations, the UGT and the Socialists close to the Communist Party had close CGTP, called together. About 90 percent of employees took part. 12 000 schools were closed that day. No aircraft could land or start and 85 percent of trains were canceled. Parts of the police strike, the garbage also, most shops remained closed.

is in some ways, Portugal is in a worse position than other countries with sovereign debt crises. The gross domestic product (GDP) per capita is even just 16 200 euros, compared with 30 570 Euro in Ireland and 23 100 euros in Greece. The Portuguese population is one of the poorest in Western Europe. is the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) estimates that the Portuguese economy will grow this year by an estimated 1.5 percent decline in 2011 by 0.2 percent. The unemployment rate now stands at eleven percent. Now, as part of the austerity package passed on Friday will be reduced unemployment benefits, the unemployed are forced to accept any job if they do not lose their right to support. Provided is also raising the income tax for a stay up to 1.5 percentage points by the end of 2011, only people with an income below 475 € spared. Companies with profits of more than two million euros will pay an additional "emergency tax" of 2.5 percent. The VAT will rise from 20 to 21 percent, in return, the salaries of ministers and the lines of public enterprises to be reduced by five percent. In addition, the subsidies fall for state enterprises.

Meanwhile, speculation in financial markets to an impending state bankruptcy Portugal. The bond markets, interest rates, which Portugal has to offer, at a historic high driven. The interest rate on ten years of Portuguese bonds has risen to almost seven percent and rising yields on government bonds could bring the Portuguese government in a short time into a similar trouble as the Irish. Currently, Portugal's public debt amounted to 165 billion euros, peanuts in comparison to Germany, but at least this amount corresponds to almost the entire Portuguese GDP in 2009. The measures adopted to reduce government spending only about twelve billion euros. In addition, the private debt of 239 percent in Portugal one of the highest. Creditors are mostly foreign banks.

the weekend, the EU finance ministers also debated whether any taking in Portugal and Spain in the Euro-rescue. An important result is called the advice was to develop a contingency plan for € bankrupt countries, the European stability mechanism (ESM). While the position of the German Federal Government, private creditors in the debt restructuring included, could not prevail, this way in the future will then be followed when short-term assistance are unsuccessful. This occurs when a state of the European Central Bank (ECB), European Commission, International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the euro countries as "judged insolvent" is what comes close to a classical state bankruptcy law. In this case, the affected state would have with its private creditors' restructuring negotiate "to continue to receive support from EU and IMF.

generally increases the pressure on governments and the European institutions, the public finances of the euro countries to regain control.

The current situation in Germany in particular re-registered some economic growth, is no more than a breath, the next phase of the crisis should come from much poorer states and expand the race to unexpected dynamics. It will hardly be possible to reduce the debt substantially, until the next depressive episode begins which is emerging now in the U.S.. The governments and the capital to combat the crisis with cuts in social services, with reductions of pensions, health care, spending on education, privatization of public goods, the reduction of wages and precarious. And objectively, they have little choice.

The previously announced reduction measures have resulted in the largest strike waves decades. From Spain and Portugal to Italy and above all shake France to Ireland mass social protests Europe. Germany, where the protests pose to the project Stuttgart 21 and the Castor transport not only a return totgeglaubte movements of the eighties, but can also be viewed in some respects as a substitute for action for the paralysis of trade unions is, in this respect to the lowest in the European protest.

a more than symbolic significance could get the strikes and protests, but only if they exceed the scope of ritualized and institutionalized forms of struggle. Signs of which were on display recently as France, where the escalation of strikes and protests against pension reform in part to the rather reluctance of the union bureaucracy was.

lacks the same time, yet any serious European coordination of the fighting that would be an essential step in the site-nationalist and corporatist narrow-mindedness of union crisis Mitverwalter as well as well to overcome some of the base.

Can You Get Stardoll Gift Cards In Australia

pushed the screen

talked for weeks about an impending German politicians Irish national bankruptcy. Ireland now has the European rescue fund to complete.

Lutz Getzschmann

Published in: Jungle World, 25 November 2010

http://jungle-world.com/artikel/2010/47/42155.html

The Irish government will have to take massive support in the claim to prevent the collapse of its public finances. On Sunday, finance ministers agreed the euro zone to a general commitment to taking the land under the "Euro-rescue." Ireland needs to estimates by experts 40-100 billion euros to get its banking crisis under control. The redevelopment plan obviously helps the Euro countries, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and, from the EU budget, which will be supplemented by bilateral loans from the UK and Sweden. A week ago, the Irish government denied on financial aid from the European rescue fund need to be.

was compelled to take this step appeared to Ireland, not least by the German Federal Government. The fact that the rescue of the Irish banking system in danger of collapse, the government of Brian Cowen had brought in serious trouble, had long been known. The Irish government has taken over security for the ailing banking system of the country and therefore has a completely debt-ridden budget. Ireland is this year toward a budget deficit of 32 percent. The speculations of German politicians about a possible insolvency of Ireland appeared to put some momentum, which was finally no longer cope. Two weeks ago, had Irish Finance Minister Brian Lenihan also because the German government accused the sharp rise in risk premiums on Irish government bonds since the beginning of November was also due to statements of German politicians.

He referred to the vehement demands put forward by Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU), in rescue operations for high-debt countries such as Ireland continue to use pull even bondholders. Merkel had taken hold in the EU summit in late October, a corresponding decision of principle. The German government has helped with keeping that interest rates for Irish and Portuguese government bonds had soared, said Greece Prime Minister Giorgos Papandreou on Monday in Paris. The German position on the question of who should be liable for the failure of a Euro-state, could drive a country into bankruptcy. The federal government insists that the end of the current "Euro-emergency parachute" in 2013, private investors are to be asked in a national bankruptcy to pay.

The prospect of defaulting States in the future hours of their debts or waived at all, have sometimes has led to a flight of Irish government bonds, which led to falling prices, driving yields higher. Since July, the interest rates on Irish government bonds with ten years Duration by about 1.8 percentage points higher, mid-November they were at nine per cent. Interest on the Portuguese government bonds rose during the same period from 6.1 to 7.0 percent. The returns are a measure of funding costs, that countries should expect the issuance of government bonds. did not record the debt of the Irish state is inevitable for the Irish Government to the "rescue" claim, but the speculation in Irish government bonds, which was triggered mainly by the federal government and at EU-level political support.

that the German government on its own its dominance within the EU plays out, pushes increasingly discontent. The German debt restructuring plans had made the bailout more likely from Ireland and Portugal, the Financial Times noted in the past week. When dealing with the German government heavily indebted EU countries it is also about the economic interests of major German banks. The FAZ reported that they hold over Irish borrowers around 138 billion dollars in claims.

But the demands of nationalizing Hypo Real Estate (HRE) from the Irish Central Government and local authorities would amount to 10.3 billion euros. In the first nine months of this year, the HRE further loss of 1.1 billion € has accumulated. Should now also in the event of bankruptcy, the Irish government debt is written off, this would be a disaster risk trophales testimony to the bailout policy of the CDU / FDP government. But many German banks are not yet available on the brink, hold large stocks of Irish government bonds.

likely also the federal government is also a strategic location for its handling of Ireland have financial crisis, as was observed already in the German attitude towards Greece. Federal Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble (CDU) had already before the EU Ministerial conference spoke of harsh conditions, be the subject of the restoration plan for Ireland am. European leaders had proposed an increase in corporate tax, which is 12.5 percent in Ireland so low that it has attracted in recent decades, many foreign companies, to the annoyance of other EU governments. This step has so far rejected by the Irish government, which fears for its appeal to foreign companies. Whether the government Cowen still in the position to be able to resist demands from their lenders, however, can be doubted. Realistic is probably also that there will be privatization of state enterprises and drastic cuts in the social system. Irish media reported that on Sunday adopted austerity program of the government include, among other things, cuts in child support, the minimum wages and unemployment benefits. By 2014 15 billion euros will be saved.

move fiscal policy in the euro countries on a narrow ridge The public debt increased in 2009 due to the various stimulus and bank restructuring in total to 79.2 percent of gross domestic product. In 2008 it stood at 69.8 percent. The federal government aims to trouble spots in Europe to get a grip and bring about the same time a dynamic neoliberal restructuring, which leads to a shift in political power relationships. The outright disenfranchisement economically troubled EU countries that will become economic protectorate of the EU and its main political and economic centers, France and Germany, is not only the fear of their own financial collapse due. This disenfranchisement is also part of a shock strategy, the highly indebted countries more than before dresseth to the needs of the economic center. In Ireland itself the humiliation that the participation of the "emergency parachute means" has led to a government crisis. For the population had this step as a shock, there was the first spontaneous demonstrations before the Irish Parliament. Several "analysts" look ahead, however, forward to the next potential crisis situations that have to reckon with in a similar manner urged by the German government and the EU under the "rescue" to be: Spain and Portugal.

Where Map To Find Zapdos In Pokemon Deluge

The magic of numbers

The federal government celebrates the miracle in the labor market. The conditions under which this recovery takes place, are sobering.

Lutz Getzschmann

Published in: Jungle World, 4 November 2010

http://jungle-world.com/artikel/2010/44/42007.html

Federal Labour Minister Ursula von der Leyen (CDU) had It do not take to proclaim the good news in person. The number of unemployed had fallen below three million, with the message she surprised the public on Wednesday last week. With 2.945 million people registered as seeking employment, the lowest unemployment prevails in an October since 1992, said von der Leyen. And so no one overlooks the fact that this development is due to the excellent work of the government, the Labor Department is now launching a campaign to hang in throughout the Republic of posters on which the latest figures from the unemployment statistics are announced.

The media began to hurry to speak of a "job miracle", and promptly claimed in addition to the current administration are other the apparent success for themselves. The parliamentary secretary of the SPD parliamentary group, Thomas Oppermann, hastened the decline due to the crisis strategies of the grand coalition. And the former Chancellor Gerhard Schröder (SPD), to which many want to be in the party currently does not like popped up again out of the woodwork and made responsible for the unemployment figures now presented the adopted during his reign Hartz laws. Without the legislative changes of 2003 stands today as Germany, where are the neighboring countries now that would have addressed any reforms, claiming the comrade of the bosses.

The recovery is there, is the message, the rulers with their talk of the miracle to proclaim in the labor market. And all want to participate in the party to consolidate the FDP, whose approval ratings for months in the vicinity of five percent. Your new hope is Brüderle Rainer, who attracted attention not only from the leadership of the party in the past twelve months by negative headlines. The Federal Minister reiterated on Sunday his surprise plea for significant wage increases. Given the rebound in economic performance would have to "tough cuts of the past" not continue. However, he qualifies this statement begin simultaneously with the note. "Firm sales does not make the state" A clear rejection Brüderle also issued the call for a nationwide legal minimum wage, because if the wage is too high, it ultimately only endanger jobs.

The most striking thing is the spectacle to the new German "job miracle" even though the contrast between presentation and reality, but the fact that the tragic facts can be found everywhere. A few years ago had a critical Contemporary, was tricked when the unemployment figures, research in niche left postils and unemployed portals in order to learn approximately how it really looks like in the labor market. This is currently different. One is aware that the black-yellow government is desperately looking for positive headlines. In the mirror in the Süddeutsche Zeitung and the online portal of the evening news is, some malicious, some shyly laid calculated that the unemployment statistics is fined and the unrestrained growth "not important to the people," as the standard formulation is now. Only the Bild newspaper asked seriously: "Come now, ten golden years," The reason for this new honesty are less likely, however, in a new journalistic ethics, but rather in the dark sense that outside of the press conferences of the Federal Government and the major parties, hardly anyone can believe it.

If you look closely is because fixed quickly, concerns that the boom, especially small and precarious forms of employment. There are around five million people who pursue a job on the basis of 400 €. More than 2.2 million earned by a mini-job to something. About 4.2 million people are in employment, their pay is so low that they receive supplementary unemployment benefit II. Who at least 15 Working hours per week applies for some time no longer considered unemployed. ALG-I-recipients who are older than 58 years are not taken into account as one-euro jobbers and people who participate in training and rehabilitation measures. Almost 1.5 million people were recently in various measures, therefore they are not considered unemployed. There is also a "secret reserve" of up to one million people who would like a job for a livelihood, but not actively looking, either because they are financed through a family's income, find a nursery place for their children or simply do not have a chance to the labor market, or on unemployment benefits. Back in June The Federal Statistical Office announced that 8.6 million people looking for work. It is likely to have changed little since then, and in this magnitude moves accordingly the real dimension of unemployment, underemployment and economic marginalization.

Even with regard to the newly created jobs will be bleak from behind the facade, because the decline in official unemployment figures based on both statistical tricks on a large increase in temporary work. Much of the employment growth will take place in this segment, the number of temporary workers has now increased to 900 000. The data from the Federal Employment Agency (BA) Add suggests that the trend in the industry continues to reduce low-skilled jobs and to do the work of temporary workers. For the employee, the self can hardly be a working relationship in which they want to find yourself permanently.

Claus Matecki, a board member of the DGB says, "of an" abuse of temporary work. For disillusioned view it would probably consist of nothing but act as the use of this instrument for its original purpose. The national board of the DGB is estimated that at the end of the year will be more than a million temporary workers. In addition, many new jobs are still only temporary. A cursory look at the areas in which vacancies are filled, also reveals an imbalance: in health and social services, the number of social security contributions rose by 3.5 percent and economic services without temporary employment by 2.9 percent. In the manufacturing industry, however, there were 53 000 employees over the previous year less. Nevertheless, let

currently meet almost daring-looking projections. The Director of the Institute of German Economy in Cologne, Michael Huether, gave in an interview with the Passauer Neue Presse less than two million unemployed possible, and this already in 2012. Basis for such speculation are two main assumptions: First, it is hoped that a sustained recovery will create 400 000 new jobs, on the other it is predicted that the demographic changes will cause could be found for the disembarking from wage labor elderly more junior staff. Unlike in previous crises, this was the case in recent years, left more older workers leave their work, be succeeded as younger people. This relieved the development of statistics by more than 100 000 unemployed in the year. Already, the specter of Human Resources evoked - which is mildly absurd when one considers the reluctance of large companies, to provide adequate training capability. Above all, the hopes are likely to focus labor statistics that exceed the number of older unemployed people the magic of 58 years and thus fall out of the unemployment statistics. So ultimately is the finding that the real considerably smaller reduction in unemployment mainly through wage dumping and the creation of a broad low-wage sector is sought.

"Hartz IV effect," Hilmar Schneider, director says labor market at the Research Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) in Bonn - and is aware of the cynicism associated with this statement probably not aware of. It goes like this out that the threat of poverty and marginalization, especially among those "acts" that have just lost their jobs. Those affected would try anything to happen to this case can not. Schneider says that had the willingness to make concessions, increased with the introduction of Hartz IV. For example, more jobs would be accepted, the payment is smaller than it was in the previous employment of the case. This friendly description means nothing but a massive reduction in living standards of workers and a dramatic drop in the value of labor power.

The so vehemently argued, however, recovery could soon be over. Because it is based to a considerable extent on export surpluses. According to the Institute for Social Ecological Economic Research that provided in the second quarter of 2010, a growth contribution of 1.4 percentage points to GDP, which is about two-thirds of the increase. While the purchasing power will decline further, which hopes rest almost entirely on a further expansion of exports, therefore on the successful repression of foreign capital on the world market. Apart from the location-nationalist ideologies, which will return to popularity and not only play in the debate on the Greek public debt is important, but in the coming likely to occur in some months, trade union arguments again, there is little reason to believe that this expansion might persist permanently.

The two main segments of the German export surpluses, Europe and the U.S., are in a difficult economic situation. In the European countries make drastic austerity programs of various governments and the continued significant impact of the crisis for an economic stagnation, while it could be slowed in the U.S., the economic decline and possibly imminent hardly a new crisis. The compulsive euphoria that is currently disseminated by the federal government could, as early as next Year there are even more doubtful.

in debt and depressed

Japan made efforts to overcome its economic crisis. However, the already protracted stagnation now threatens the country's creditworthiness.

because Will anyone buy more auto parts and home electronics? At least Japanese export goods of this type are currently in demand, not much. The Japanese government is trying to remedy the situation. In recent months, she grabbed several occasions in the foreign exchange markets and devalued the yen to support the export sector.

also economic programs to bring the economy back on track. Half a million jobs will provide the Government with the latest "stimulus package" that includes a volume of over five billion yen, currently about 44 billion euros. It is part of a supplementary budget to the Parliament to be submitted later this month. Japan recently agreed similar measures, but their effects largely fizzled. Japan's gross domestic product (GDP) had grown in the second quarter compared to the first by only 0.4 percent. Reasons the weak consumption and strong export by the yen were more expensive.

In the first quarter GDP growth was 4.4 percent, what had been interpreted as signs that the country could be in the midst of the Great Depression in a position to overcome its now over 15 years of continued economic stagnation. Obviously, the growth of short duration and only a small exception was in a total of unbroken decline. For four years, made the country more foreign exchange earnings, dividends and interest from foreign investments than exports. The crisis has reinforced this trend drastically. Exports fell in about December 2009 compared to previous year by 35 percent, the same time, imports grew by 22 percent, which marked the recent low point of economic misery. Meanwhile, Japan has replaced China as the second-largest economy in the world.

has in the fight against the strong yen reduced Japanese central bank last week, the prime rate to virtually zero. It is thus returning to its de facto zero interest rate policy from 2000 to 2006. Main reasons for the additional relaxation of the already very expansive monetary policy is the continued strong currency, has long been falling consumer prices and continued weak domestic economy. The yen lost only temporarily in value against the U.S. dollar. Within hours after the rate cut, the Japanese currency already cost more than before the surprise move. The government had intervened in September for the first time in years with large dollar purchases in the foreign exchange market to halt the rise in the yen. This has won since May at about thirteen percent of its value against the dollar, which could reduce the already shrinking exports further.

is obviously a huge trend by, have struggled in vain against the different Japanese governments since the early nineties. As the only highly industrialized country, Japan has a long and of economic decline and subsequent stagnation accompanied through deflation. lost over a period of one and a half decades, stocks and real estate sharply, falling prices and decreased income. From the rapid growth of the eighties finally a standstill. The deflation was the result of a crisis in the stock and property markets: the Nikkei index, which had quadrupled from 1984 to the end of 1989 nearly broke by mid-1992 to 60 per cent by 2003 reached 80 percent loss. Land prices in Tokyo, which had doubled in 1986-1990 fell, then within ten years by 60 percent.

also decreased the cost of living, what the wage cuts and economic insecurity for the population at least tolerable made. Between 1998 and 2005, chicken meat was cheaper by seven per cent, vegetables by 20 to 45 percent and toilet paper. FR-A correspondent reported: "The Japanese railway advertised with the slogan of 'good deflation' for holidays, which were becoming cheaper. From the glass of beer on the taxi ride to electricity - many prices in Japan since the mid-nineties were frozen as "

From 1998 to 2005 while wages fell by 5.3 percent, a three-person household was after these seven. annual income losses of eleven percent. But because of falling prices, the purchasing power of the population remained about the same standard avoided for fear of bank failures, the Japanese stock purchases and other seemingly risky investments. Nearly 50 percent of 1 500 trillion yen of Japanese private assets (about 12.5 billion euros) in savings accounts. The home savings hoarded cash assets amount to an estimate by Richard Jerram, chief economist for Macquarie Capital Securities in Tokyo, at a level at a height of four to five percent of domestic product - that is about 233 billion euros.

The dramatic destruction of capital of the nineties led to a stagnation. First, the economy grew more slowly, finally, it declined. The economic decline was halted only with significant economic stimulus programs be, that the Japanese government promoted as public construction projects and thus prevented a fall into recession. The price for this stabilization policy is the world's highest public debt. End of March, the government had accumulated the equivalent of € 7.7 trillion in debt. By March 2011 the Japanese government debt is expected to grow by another ten percent, because the government can not do without a considerable debt. Almost half the budget has been financed, the interest rates currently swallow for more than half of the tax revenue.

So far the government has their loans procured almost entirely within the country. The Japanese commercial banks have local government bonds, worth the equivalent of more than one trillion euros. Just over half the debt is held by government institutions like the Post, the Retirement Fund and the Bank of Japan. In this way, the state has so far been able to borrow at least partly to himself - a strategy that works as long as the system remains stable. Only five percent of Japanese government bonds are in foreign hands. Also, why does hardly a hedge fund on falling prices of Japanese bonds speculation - it simply lack the profit motive. Two or three years could Japan go into debt even further, is the business editor of the FAZ, the forecasts significant economic recovery. "Optimists even speak of five to ten years. Then must also Japan borrow money from foreign investors and give up its isolation from global financial market, which has enabled the country to now, many years by keeping its low-interest rate policy without any problems. "

The high public debt and economic stagnation are also gradually a threat to Japan's credit rating in financial markets. The rating agency Standard & Poor's introduced in September officially established that decreasing the creditworthiness of Japan. While the former is AA-rated or unrated, but it now bears the stigma a negative outlook, suggesting again a possible devaluation. Or, to put it in the words of the authorities responsible for public finance ratings director of S & P, Takahira Ogawa, "The rating of AA is still valid, but the creditworthiness of the Japanese government is falling slowly"

With well. 70 percent, the industrial capacity utilization remains low. The unemployment rate rose to 5.3 percent unusual by Japanese standards. Before crisis beginning in 2007 it was 3.9 percent. Youth unemployment is 11.1 percent have the highest ever recorded in the statistics. Nevertheless, look for a survey by the Ministry of Finance Many companies have a "surplus staff," corporations are outsourcing their production to low wage countries.

Among the workers and employees of the disappearing been mediated by the repressive Betriebskorporatismus feeling of safety gradually. Affiliation with the company are no longer for life, what makes an internalized company and work ethic obsolete. This trend also has an impact as a psychosocial crisis for those in work. A common method of wage and welfare cuts has been the generational change in the premises, making more layoffs could be avoided. The newly created employment but see "Different from the previously unknown" plant communities. More than a third of younger employees work after an investigation by the competent Ministry is now in precarious conditions.

job stress, social pressure to perform in all areas, declining wages, increasing job insecurity and fears of a recession in recent years led to an ever-increasing suicide rate - one of the highest in the world. What is the cost of job security and predominantly in their social existence and operation of their identity shaken workers and workers as a personal failure and accordingly answer look now but the computer in the cool Japanese Ministry of Economy as a serious problem. By suicide and depression in the Japanese economy in the past year considerable damage has occurred. According to government estimates, the resulting total cost amounts to nearly 2.7 trillion yen (almost 25 billion euros). This sum is clear from the costs of social and medical services for depression patients, loss of income from patients and suicides as well as other factors, informed the government in its first calculation of this kind. Therefore took in Japan 2009, a total 26 500 people aged between 15 and 69 years of life. Had these one years lived and worked longer, they would have earned 1.9 trillion yen, reckons the government.

same time, but also the first signs are emerging of increased social conflicts and class struggles. For example, the Free Union Planters, based on a radical union for precarious, for years the supplying. Especially among workers and workers who have been deprived of their previous social security, a higher willingness to strike is recognized.

Cervical Mucus After Complete Hysterectomy

Christchurch and return to Anakiwa 19th to 23 July and not so beautiful ...

After skiing, we spent two days in Christchurch, where the car's original color and Mark got a new haircut. The title misled you hopefully not to the false assumption that one of them looked not behind ordinary than before - no, the investment has paid off in both cases :-) And the city has also dropped us quite well. There is a picturesque promenade along the river, which runs directly from downtown to our hostel, nice cafes, a place outside the cathedral, which always has a lot going on, old trams, the remarkable Way by taking passages, an indoor bus station and nice people who sit in the hostel on the corridor floor to make the call because they would otherwise never have mobile phone reception.

Gebäudeam Old River Avon - here before the earthquake

We have spent a great day in the Antarctic Center and have been around on an outdoor trail with the Hägglund - that is the small fast car with which they rumflitzen there quite steep and sloping, bridge chasms and swim. prevail in the cold chamber in the Antarctic temperature and light conditions, you may experience a storm. Most impressive was the huge screen, the images of the pristine landscape shows. In short, it was so interesting that Antarctica another "Since I will gladly go there "has become target for Markus.

evening we unsuspectingly into bed. The hostel is the way in a marked" no cruising "zone. I Have A but still roar past a few lowered cars one to have. Anyway, we were in the middle of the night awake, when suddenly the door was open. I'm a frightened, where according to me, after which we heard someone running away quickly. As the next room are all empty, it is unlikely that someone has just made a mistake in the door. Very disturbing. Fortunately, we were going to leave the next day anyway to Picton. There we already knew the hostel (and the doors can only be opened from inside or key) and made a short stopover, and then to move on to Nelson. There is the last chance to make a bulk purchase and stock up well before the Queen Charlotte track and then go into rural Anakiwa. Nelson also has excellent hostels. We have this time made comfortable in the shortbread Cottage. For dinner we sat by the fire and there was spaghetti with pesto in it and, unfortunately, a finger nail. Very disgusting. We recorded with the producer contact, which then asked us to return the thing. Now we hope that they send us to replace a new pesto wrap, as we have no interest in the other nine also to collect more. Are eager to see how great service is our hallmark.

PS: A few weeks later we received a letter of apology in Anakiwa ( The Quality team have said that it is a finger nail ... ") and a voucher.

Amazing Low Calorie Breakfast

Skifoan 15 - 19 July

Three days in Methven - Mt Hutt Village Skifield - were different than expected. Although we were already prepared for that skiing here is very different in Europe, but still we were somewhat surprised to arrive in Methven and see far and wide only flat land.
a snowball in July
irritating thing was the info that you can drive by car to Skifield and that lasts from Methven only about 35 minutes. We could only believe it when we saw it in the morning itself. The Gravel Road takes one directly to the parking lot at the start two of three chairlifts. Welcome to New Zealand's most diverse ski area.

Mt Hutt - all must be driven within the Boundary ... can
Ratzfatz we had identified our favorite track, because there are not many runs, just a hut with a café and lift it also enter without waiting (though still have school holidays).

Morning Glory, our favorite. Blue is the way moderate.

there was enough time to take some pics, pack the camera too comfortable in the car, watching the Keas in the parking lot and back to the gondola lift to the top.

One of many good Keas
mood in Snow
is après-ski, we could in the evening between the "Blue Bars" and "Brown Bars" option. Have drunk in both a beer, have been informed of kiwis on the horse race culture and an Australian has told us very proud of what he can say in German: "Kitty in de Forest" :-)

The next day was foggy and with the weather report we received advice that snow chains are necessary. Which can be rented at half the distance. They are assembled from two completely clad in mud people who spend the whole day there in the fog and obviously had a lot of fun. I would not have want to exchange, for only a few hundred yards you emerge from the clouds and the sun.

comes after nearly 14km gravel road, the ski area - all lifts in the picture.

On the last day we were lucky with the weather and especially with our parking lot. From which we could directly down the first slope to the lift, we had not even tried. And by "directly" I mean that we could put on your skis on the car. Another run and the sledding hill end right next to our car, nice!

death bravely "in" the unverifiable plastic pan.
The best of the day was that we finally married at the steepest part of the Skifield: Bob's Knob. There it goes down almost vertically, and also the best snow does not help: If you have the misfortune to fall down, you slip the rest of the way on the bottom (even seen, not to happiness itself experienced). To get there you drive the "Virgin Mile" on the crest of the hill past the "Splatter Platter" and can not decide at all, in which direction you look like, because the view is great everywhere.

The small dots in the middle of skiers are on Bob's Knob. The Virgin Mile turn left on the ridge.
