Sailing Boat Schematics

Iasi - Moldovita - Iasi - Moldova

Last Monday I saw something very surprising. Father George said Milly and me to him and he invited us to a journey. He expects a tour group from Austria - the Rotary Club of Vienna ring and we can accompany them to Iasi, Moldovita and Moldova. And with the final destination a wish of mine come true, I've always been curious about the CONCORDIA projects in Moldova. So we made
on Wednesday night at 23:00 clock on the night train to Iasi, where we were to receive the group, Father George and Ruth at 13:00 clock at the airport. On
Gara de Nord arrived, there was first a reunion with some young people who keep coming back to Lazar. for example, Marian, I like love, but him to see so - All drugs and alcohol I was very touched.

The night in the sleeping car was relatively comfortable, we were lucky with an older gentleman from Iasi to be in the compartment and he immediately asked us if we want to look at his laptop with him on a film.
clock Early At 6:00 we arrived rested very little in Iasi. By tram, we went into the city center. Since I was already there, now I played tour guide for Milly. But first, we strengthened ourselves with a small breakfast, then we went to the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Catholic Church, the church hierarchs and direction of the 3 Palace of Culture.
Since we still had time, we were still on the university area and the park Copou where Milly people talked to her flute playing and enthusiastic.
To point a clock we were at the airport in Iasi and waited for the group.
went together a ride with a coach towards where we Radauti the synagogue and the wood looked at the Tyrolean Egger. Then on to the monastery Sucevita where we had dinner before we went to there Moldovita and lodging-related.
was relatively large, since the group we stayed in 2 guesthouses and a few still in the convent - so do we. Again it was very nice, even the jogging at six-thirty in the morning - but was not a cold shower afterwards so pleasant. Sr Tatiana told us yet most exactly the frescoes of the monastery Moldovita before we left for Voronet to also visit this monastery. Then
to 16:00 clock we had an important appointment. We were in the guest house of the Metropolitan of Iasi expected to eat and at 17:30 clock we were received by him to an audience.
was after this meeting, the impressive ride on in the Republic of Moldova. Dead tired, moved into a neighborhood in the hotel, but we at Casa Concordia heart of Chisinau.
Moldova's the poorest country in Europe. It is also very sad, hopeless and empty part. The streets are deserted, dilapidated buildings. The villages are mainly abandoned children and the elderly, since many of the middle generation are trying to earn money abroad. Since 2005, Father George is also the social projects we visited. For example, the City of Children in Pirita, where 300 children and young people new hope is given. There is also in Moldova, the project - for our parents. There are already 23 mitlerweile soup kitchens throughout Moldova - to provide the elderly with at least one hot meal per day. Who can come to dinner at the social center, who can not go, which it is placed - Meals on wheels but on bicycles or horse-drawn carriage! In the social center in Nadejda Dubasarii Veche we arrived at a huge party. There were celebrated the birthdays of May, with music, dance and much joy!
impressive nice we were welcomed everywhere. I am particularly touched that we were allowed to go to the old people home, to see how they live.
I was with a woman called Maria at home. she is 78 years old and lives alone since the death of her husband and children she never had. She has a house with a garden. She says she would prefer to die yes, but decides that yes God. And as long as she is still alive, as long as they'll work in the house and garden. Previously she was a singer in church choir, and once we got offered a serenade.

waited after this touching and impressive experiences a real contrast for us. We visited the largest wine cellars in the world in Cricova. There are 1.4 million bottles of wine stored !!!!! After a tour through the cellars and bottling of champagne waiting for us a sumptuous feast.

On Sunday morning we celebrated with Father George and Kaplan Eugene and children a wonderful service, as Milly and I were allowed to make music.
And went back to travel to Iasi where we accompanied the group to the airport and then by train back home went to Bucuresti.
It was an impressive, interesting, exciting, great, sad, hopeful journey!
