We have arrived. Finally! After over three and a half months of adventure travel a little tired we Anakiwa Backpackers have reached and taken over by Shayne and Tanya for the next five weeks, after we have gone to Blenheim airport.

A short impression of what we look like this: Anakiwa is about 40 minutes from Picton, 50 minutes from Blenheim, and away more than 1 hour from Nelson. The nearest supermarket is a gas station in about 20 minutes. So you can say, pretty far out, mainly because when it rains like once blocked the road to Picton by mudslides.

We have bought in huge quantities in Nelson, there is really the only large supermarket (and also a Sausage wagon (mais ceci est une autre histoire)) and it all happens at the Link Water Hall! Our house is painted in pretty blue, newly renovated and sleeps up to 12 guests. Currently only 10 since we live so here in a nice room. Heavy rains in Panama .... Wait a minute!
