Fix Lazy Colon Probiotics

Anakiwa July - 31 August

We have arrived. Finally! After over three and a half months of adventure travel a little tired we Anakiwa Backpackers have reached and taken over by Shayne and Tanya for the next five weeks, after we have gone to Blenheim airport.

A short impression of what we look like this: Anakiwa is about 40 minutes from Picton, 50 minutes from Blenheim, and away more than 1 hour from Nelson. The nearest supermarket is a gas station in about 20 minutes. So you can say, pretty far out, mainly because when it rains like once blocked the road to Picton by mudslides.

But it has arranged itself and we the same time! We have bought in huge quantities in Nelson, there is really the only large supermarket (and also a Sausage wagon (mais ceci est une autre histoire)) and it all happens at the Link Water Hall! The town hall in which we have participated in judo and yoga class. For judo, we were invited by Shayne, who runs the course. The info on the yoga class we were given spontaneously and then just went.

Next in text: Anakiwa located in the Marlborough Sounds, right at the end of the Queen Charlotte Track, we are of course still run before (report to follow). And see this:

much bush, lots of water, nothing else ...

Our roommate called Scruff and Kiwa and are best friends. If Scruff gets boring He attended Rocky in the YHA, operated by Friends of Tanya and Shayne but competitors in the business. We also come straight from there because we were invited to a few glasses of wine.

Our house is painted in pretty blue, newly renovated and sleeps up to 12 guests. Currently only 10 since we live so here in a nice room. Our dining table is way more convenient, since a pool table lies below :-) It also has a really great coffee and a comfortable lounge in the main slopes is currently fashionable. Guests, we have not been given, but we are also only two full days here alone.

Here you see the Anakiwa Backpackers,
against the Green Caravan Café which is open only in summer,
and right of the departures of the Queen Charlotte track

The could sometimes be your room ...

morning we pick up the mail and walk just a short time on the web of the Outward Bound School (you can make self-awareness courses, which are probably pretty sharp) and Scruff takes the opportunity for a guided walk was coming straight with the times. By afternoon, the little boat into the water and fish gone :-)

Otherwise we relax, wash mend stuff, sort photos, sift vacancies, Christine bakes bread and Mark began to build an arch.

The weather was in the last few days. In the sun it had up to 28 degrees, but at night fall we noted the winter and the temperatures around 5 degrees. Supposedly these are but the last cold days and it is getting warmer in August. We also hope But the day after tomorrow is unfortunately, first bad weather predicted.

time we have now in any case first, and enough books too, so off we will be safe and well so it is hopefully continue with the trip reports!

If you like us can at times also call on the fixed network (number removed, because we are now gone). Here we are 30 August accessible.

soon,

Mark & Christine

Heavy rains in Panama .... Wait a minute!

the past has two weeks in Panama rained heavily, but not in all of Panama, but as usual, unusual natural phenomena often reported in the areas of Chiriqui and Bocas del Toro ( boca del torres ) .

Panama City is also flooded after heavy rains less, because, as in many cities of the tropical belt cities are now mostly concrete yes, there are those inevitable floods.

I have time to overview unit produced a small card so you know what you are talking about at all.

It's like the spinach: Has crept something wrong, it is difficult to eradicate it again. These two areas are the areas preferred by tourists and retirees, mostly from the United States. It is with its altitude of 600m-1200m throughout the year as the best temperate climate in Panama, with temperatures of 16-28 ° C, in contrast to the Panamanian lowlands, where temperatures between 26 ° C and 32 ° C are found throughout the year, which I and most of the population is much more pleasant.

But less known, or not aware of published, are the negative sides of the so estimated better climate of Chiriqui, Boquete and Bocas del Toro . In the winter months (June to November) it rains in these areas almost every day, sometimes for hours continuously ("German rainy weather"), while the rest of Panama, it rains more than 2-3 times per week (mean monsoon-like, just like in the video) . Shake 2-3 times a year, small earthquakes just these areas, while in the rest of Panama have hardly noticed by reference. That in all these areas is also much more expensive than elsewhere in Panama (cost of living, real estate), which is not a natural phenomenon but an economic law, but to life is not unimportant, the choice of taste.

Something else is in the area of Antón (not the emphasis, as in Germany - with the first name of Anton - the "A" but the "o"). The insignificant 8.15 Antón town lies on both banks of the famous Pan-American Highway (no altitude, Distance to the capital about 120 km from the sea 10 km). Behind it, the valley extends the altitude of 400m to 600m from Valle de Antón and compensated in just about everything said about pre-Boca del Toro and Chiriqui and the lowlands of Panama. Here, for example, the most expensive land, mostly large and flat surfaces, no housing developments. But as I said many times, you have the thoughts and witnessed.

who still has questions, they should put here so that the answers to all benefit

greeting
Ramiro

Find A Dominatrix In Mi

leisure stress

long you have anything of ours and we had a lot of reports, but the travel tales to fill a few more chapters.

But the title says it all, we have free time stress. Even in normal times, the blog entries are 1 to 2 weeks have been written after the fact. Photos must be sorted and selected for it. Worth mentioning about it and a common formulation will be developed. The latter is sometimes not so simple, so different are the impressions and the Add.

The latest news that we are from 26 July, a hostel for 5 weeks, including dog and cat adopt. The hostel is Anakiwa backpackers and is situated on the South Island at the end (or beginning) of the Queen Charlotte track. We had happened to read on the internet like this and we were always on the way to the South Island are presented there. Apparently they found us nice. Many
Guests are not expected in August, that is, we look forward to a quiet time where we can get the mind ready for new impressions, for great nature and good weather, views of mountains and sea, etc. have almost become standard. Also gives us the opportunity to look for jobs to save money to patch up a few things and make new plans.

Oh, and of course we will write the outstanding weather forecast :-) As an appetizer, nor is the following: a brief second Stop in Rotorua, wine and more in Napier, the capital of Wellington, a Lord of the Rings Special, the trip to the South Island (where we continuously despite winter for 3 weeks Have sunshine!), Nelson, Abel Tasman (including multi-day hike), Golden Bay and part of the West Coast (yeah, even with sun!).

will also give the recipe for a German Appelcake New Zealand species, perhaps a NZ Lammschmorbraten recipe. New Zealand and typical stories about the totally root coffee roasting plant, the Hilton and a whole town is for sale.

morning you over the Arthur's Pass to Methven and from there to go skiing on Mt Hutt, Christchurch and then continue on back to Anakiwa where we will walk the Queen Charlotte Track to then lead to the hostel.

soon and enjoy the heat in Germany, hats here in the shade and at night frost!

cold, but beautiful (and a little cheesy ...)
